Miss Maud Pastry House Cafe - Perth

Miss Maud's caramel maud cake is, in all honesty, one of the best commercial cake out there! Layered ever so softly, the tender sweet caramel cake is covered in thick and rich chocolate which combined produce an amazing experience! I would recommend this cake for all occassion! Fet it early though as sometimes they may run out of it!

Food isn't bad... I like the mushroom soup and the sandwiches are always fresh and taste well.  Service can be hit and miss but only because they seem to be understaffed especially on the front takeaway counter at lunch times.  You can have 5-6 people at a time waiting just to get a sandwich from the window whilst there is only 1 staff member serving.

Checked out the latest cake from Miss Maud the other night for a birthday celebration, the flourless chocolate orange torta. It was very rich and decadent, I was stuffed with just one slice! Great to see new addition to the cake list! theengineereats.com

This place is a joke. **** service and food dine in. Expensive and not worth it! This picture is of the serve of **** chips we recieved. Only good thing was my milkshake

Very consistent range of food. I only buy some of the rolls or sandwiches (too much sauce) and only to take away. Sometimes there's a featured roll at lunch time; if so, it's on special. Decor in the seating area is a bit dated but it's more comfortable than the food hall nearby! The pies and other savoury pastries are a bit stodgy for me. Cake varieties have been around for decades - maybe the predictability is what regular customers like.
