I was recently in pastacup beldon Friday of the 6th november, I was served by a young beautiful dame. I didn't catch her name, she helped me to decide what pasta she recommended if it wasn't for her help, we wouldn't have any idea what we did, she was fast and efficient. she greeted my family and I with a bright smile. the food was wonderful, perfectly prepared, fresh and tasty. many thanks to young! I placed an order through the app as usual without any issues. However, when I went to pick up my food tonight, I was unexpectedly asked to show ID as proof of purchase. Despite showing the employee my app and order number, I was informed that I still needed to provide ID. I requested a refund as I didn't want to drive back home to retrieve my ID for a $20 order, but was denied initially. After speaking with a manager, I was finally allowed to take my food, even though it hadn't been prepared yet. The employee explained that there had been incidents of people using stolen credit cards to make large purchases, but I felt that requiring ID for a small order while I was physically in the store was unreasonable. Additionally, I observed Uber Eats workers in the store who only needed to show their app to receive their orders, raising concerns about the inconsistency in ID verification. I believe that the restaurant should reconsider its new policy, as many customers rely on technology for ordering and may not always have ID on hand for in-store pickups. Despite being a regular customer, I will not be returning to this establishment.
