Was Delta Davis at Esther's Cake Shop a mag?
I'm really surprised to read the reviews on this place and am glad I saw them after I'd eaten their desserts because I loved it. It's across the street from Viet Hoa (where we'd eaten lunch earlier) so we headed over once we'd finished our meal. It's a tiny shop and the concept is the same as many bread/cake shops they have in Singapore. You collect a tray at the entrance and then load up with delights (using the ton... View all feedback.

What Anahi Cartwright dislikes about Esther's Cake Shop:
Poor customer service. Placed an order via telephone on Sunday for pick up the next Saturday. Called on Friday to confirm the order and they said there's no record?? Lucky I called otherwise my poor friend will end up with no cake on his birthday. Also speak really poor English and could not spell simple English name. I had to repeat it multiple times and even used phonetic alphabet. Even with that they managed to ge... View all feedback.

Esther's Cake Shop has been known for having good cakes and Asian pastry.  So I do agree that, I have been going back many times to get some of my favourite bun from them.  However, what I experienced yesterday was really making me feel sick about.  Everyone might be thinking why make it a big deal.  I went to get a Pandan cake for today's breakfast. And I am very sure it's only around 7:30, definitely not 8pm yet, which is their closing time.  So I paid with $20 for a $7.50 cake. And I wanna get rid of my coins. and have more notes. So I gave the lady another $3. What I get in return is $15. I'm like it's $7.50 and there should be a change of 50 cents no matter how bad your calculation is. The lady said, "So?" and only she took her calculator out. And realised she gave the wrong change, never even care to say Sorry. I guess people who complained about their customer service are speaking out from their heart.  Mine is just 50 cents.. No big deal I... read more

So that's not a right attitude to be given to your customer as I won't do the same to my customers. **I don't think they even care to read our reviews. but thoughts for the people who wanna buy cake. There's another one that's better, and I had no problem with their service before. I would review on their shop soon... Appearance of their spongecake isn't that great either.

Beautiful, light, airy bread and pastry. It is incredibly cheap for its delicious, high quality offerings. Pineapple coconut pastry is sooo addictive, we grab a couple whenever in the area.

3.6 rating<br/ Mango cake$45 for about 12 decent slices layer of real sliced mango at the top over cream and sponge with mango filling in between was quite a hit with the party. I find it slightly pricey but it's a great bakery that opens till 8pm on weekdays when everything else is shut or isn't as fresh. <br/ <br/ Their pork floss buns, muffins, fluffy cheesecakes are regularly consumed by our house hold. <br/ <br/ Great Asian bakery (limited ones around in Perth the others are Utopia and Regent Cakes around the Northbridge area) <br/

I really enjoyed the mango cake I bought for a friend's birthday, and I'm a huge fan of the wife cakes. Whenever I'm in the area, I always make sure to get a couple of wife cakes. My little one loves the mini cupcakes and pandan roll too!
