There’s small bars and then there’s tiny bars – like Double Double. Being so little just adds to it’s cosiness. The space is designed to be as inviting as your own living room, with many comfy sofas that look well worn in. The bar also “doubles” as a coffee spot during the day – hence the name. Cool atmosphere with an industrial aesthetic. Impressive variety of beers available on tap and in bottles. The food is solid overall, although the parmigiana was overcooked, leading to a deduction of one star. However, the chicken wings were excellent.
I recommend this cozy little bar for a casual catch-up. The atmosphere is great and the Parmi night is a good value. The staff is super friendly and helpful.
This charming bar is located just 50 meters from Subiaco Station. It has an open layout with both seating and booths, as well as an outdoor alfresco area. The bar is adorned with plenty of old memorabilia, adding to its nostalgic charm.
What a great bar! Can’t believe we’ve missed out on this for so long. Such a cool setup, great beer selection and the food was delicious superb steak sandwich perfect parmi!
Never had a bad experience at Refuge. Great drinks, amazing food, fantastic service! Love it! Bring back the Cauliflower bites though!
