Even the worst service I've had there... read more Cracker Barrel has been my favorite restaurant for at least 30 years. The food has always been consistently well-prepared. Even the worst service I've had there was still quite good compared to some other places I've visited. I ordered the meatloaf with mashed potatoes, turnip greens on the side, and a biscuit. The meat was tasty, and the potatoes were good as well, but they were a bit cold for my liking. I prefer my food hot, but it was still acceptable, and I didn’t feel the need to send anything back. My plate was clean by the time we left, so even though the food wasn't piping hot, it must have been pretty satisfying. The highlight of the meal was the cookies. I do wish they would warm the butter a bit; it's difficult to spread the little rock-hard butter packets on a lukewarm cookie. Maybe there's a trick to it that I just don't know!

There was no waiting time; the food arrived quickly, even though the place was quite busy at 10 a.m. on Friday. I had a mimosa and the Grandma's Sampler Pancake breakfast, and it was consistent with what I've experienced at other locations.

The staff and management were quite accommodating and promptly re-prepared my meal to my satisfaction. Their quick response and excellent customer service impressed me. I will definitely be back!
