The best brisket in South Carolina! Fun atmosphere and the employees are friendly and professional!
Meat was over cooked brisket, ribs, and the pulled pork),it seemed like they cooked it days ago, put it in the fridge then heated it up to order, the sides mac n cheese, potato salad) tasted like they came out of a bag, the banana pudding had old, dis colored cut up bananas at the bottom. The sauces that are on the table had no flavor and it seems they just added vinegar to ketchup and called it bbq sauce. This place definitely does not represent the south when it comes to BBQ. I recommend when you see it, keep driving, your better off ordering from the QT.
We had guests from pacific nw and they wanted to experience good bar b que. Until now Smokin Pig had been our choice. Brisket was good but the ribs, both types, were a let down. Virtually flavorless. Please say that what we experienced was the result of an employee error and will not happen again. I visualized a change in ownership may have been the cause.
My husband and I have eaten BBQ all over. The bbq there was not great. Ribs were extremely dry and salty. The pulled pork was just ok, nothing special. Chicken was moist but had no flavor. The star was the brisket of the proteins. Sides were just ok nothing groundbreaking. I won’t be back here. We will take our business back to Fork Grove.
First time at The Smokin' Pig in Pendleton and it was not a let down! The food was delicious, the service was quick (despite being a busy Friday night) and the atmosphere was fun. My party loved the outdoor area, which is a great place to wait for a seat (although we spent time outside after our meal since we got a seat immediately). There is a bar outside that was convenient to visit. Aside from the rocky parking area, the accommodations for disabilities was great to see.
