Reviews - Madison's
Reviews summary
Madison's restaurant offers a mixed experience that has left diners divided. While some rave about the creative dishes like baked brie and filet mignon, others have encountered significant delays, inattentive service, and a disappointing atmosphere. Complaints about food wait times and limited menu options, especially on special occasions, overshadow some of the culinary excellence. Additionally, inconsistencies in service quality and cleanliness have been noted, leading to uncertainty about the dining experience overall. Despite memorable meals and friendly staff, many patrons feel Madison's may be losing its touch as a fine dining establishment.

We dined early 4:45 and were delighted with the great service and delicious food. Our waitress was very attentive to our needs, food was served promptly. I highly recommend giving Madison’s a try.
Food was very good. Ambiance kinda blah. Service the absolute worst we have ever had. No drink refills, pushy and rushed to take order, had to walk to bar to get the check. Bartender took our payment. When we walked out the waitress was sitting at a table chatting with another waitress. Wow.
This has always been one of our favorite spots. However, we hadn't visited in about six months, and we've noticed that their new menu is quite different, featuring more sandwich options instead of entrées. Unfortunately, the service was very slow, and we ended up waiting a long time for our meals. The wait staff seemed inexperienced and didn’t provide the best service. Additionally, there were bugs buzzing around us throughout our meal. When we finished dinner, the hosts came over and asked if we had eaten yet. While they had updated some of the decor, we still found ourselves dining at a vinyl tablecloth, which didn’t quite give off the ambiance we were hoping for. Overall, it didn’t feel like the fine dining experience we expected, and I’m not sure we’ll come back.
The restaurant features simple yet inviting decor, and their char-grilled salmon entree is truly delicious and expertly prepared. There’s a limited selection of wines and beers, but plenty of beverage options to choose from. The menu offers a variety of reasonably priced dishes, ranging from casual fare to more refined cuisine. To top it all off, their desserts are delightful and pair perfectly with smooth coffee, all served with a pleasant touch.

Janette and I loved Madison's! Honestly, the best restaurant in Madison County, and frankly, the best we have been to anywhere in Indiana. This owner/chef Dan, and his wife Summer were awesome hosts and Dan came out of the kitchen twice to see how we liked our meals and to talk to us about the recipes and techniques. CRAZY stocked bar!! Every kind of spirits ever created and the bartender knew how to use everything the right way. We had a great evening and lots of fun too. You gotta try this place!
We visited for the 1st time tonight and will definitely return! Food and drinks were great. We were most impressed with the service. Our 4yr old son has a nut allergy. We ordered a charcuterie plate as an appetizer. Unsure if he would even like anything on it, we didn’t ask questions about garnishes. It did have almonds on it, and also pepperoni. Which is a fave. So, I asked the waitress for a few addt’l pieces of pepperoni on a plate and explained why. She was beyond accommodating and said that they take allergies very seriously. Shortly, the owner came out and introduced himself then made sure our son was happy with this appetizer. He checked up again later on. We don’t advertise his allergy or ever expect special treatment. Many restaurants we visit we just know what to avoid and move on. The staff was very kind and I knew we wouldn’t have to worry about whether or not someone forgot about the allergy the rest of the evening. Thank you!
Awesome place! Very comfortable setting. My buddy and I stopped in this weekend and had pizza. They have a nice selection of beers on tap and bottled, too. The pizza was very, very good! Some of the best I've ever had. I'll definitely be back!
My favorite restaurant in Central Indiana! Dan and Summer operate the place with a perfect blend of elegance and fun. The entire bar is top-notch, featuring the best Scotch selection in the state—bar none. The food and service are five stars. The events they host are definitely worth the price. I've become quite acquainted with many of their regulars, and there's no reason for me to stop visiting. It's hard to believe there’s such an amazing place right by the main train station in a small town like Pendleton.
We met dear friends for dinner and had a fantastic meal. The food was just excellent, and the chef/owner was so personable. We were impressed when he checked in on our table several times, and was engaging and personable. I would highly recommend Madison's for something truly delicious and special.
