Sahm's Smokehouse - Pendleton
Sahm's Smokehouse
Description
Nestled near Falls Creek Golf Park, this outdoor BBQ restaurant boasts a lively atmosphere complete with yard games and live music. Diners rave about large portions and standout dishes like brisket and pulled pork. The Long Island iced teas and cheese curds receive high praise, while a varied drink selection further enhances the experience. However, some dishes, including the chicken and mac and cheese, fall flat, and service can be slow during busy times. Sticky tables and minor cleanliness issues were noted, but friendly staff and a vibrant vibe make this spot worth a visit for BBQ enthusiasts.

I wasn't impressed at all and I definitely won’t be coming back. The barbecue was okay, but the table was sticky and there were sewer flies buzzing around while we were eating. They only offer two sauce options, neither of which has any spice. The parking situation is also quite limited. To top it off, something in the restaurant made my wife start coughing uncontrollably.
This restaurant is a must-visit! The service is outstanding, and Gina and her daughter have truly enhanced the quality of the food and service. The tenderloins, sandwiches, and salads are fantastic! It's a lovely experience to sit out on the deck when the weather is nice.
Location is nice and service was efficient. The Meat was very good but was disappointed in the sides. Mac and cheese was watery and brussel sprouts way overcooked. The layered side salad was very good and fries were fine. Prices were what you expect for smoked meat. Just was not blown away like I am usually with Sahm's food.
We decided to check out this restaurant based on a friend's recommendation. While the service was outstanding even though the place was busy, we were let down by the food. We ordered the combo platter, which included ribs, brisket, and sausage. Unfortunately, the ribs were dry and tough, as if they had been left out for too long. The brisket tasted quite good, but it was served cold. On top of that, we ordered draft beers that cost $11, but they were served in glasses straight from the dishwasher, still hot, which left us with lukewarm beer. Overall, the combination of cold brisket, dry ribs, and lukewarm beer made for a disappointing experience. I hope this was just an isolated incident, but we won't be returning any time soon. I’m giving it two stars for the excellent service and the hash brown casserole, which were the highlights of our visit.
I had a genuinely local experience at Convoy, and it really left an impression on me. The Long Island iced teas were fantastic, and the liter of beer added a fun element. The cheese curds were absolutely delicious! However, I would suggest steering clear of the chicken, as it was a bit too seasoned for my liking. The pulled pork was amazing, the ribs were great, but the brisket was definitely the highlight of the meal!
