The food was not great and we felt bad complaining but, she handled it with such finesse! We came in early and the beans tasted fishy which we later identified as a sour taste, my order came out wrong but she had it fixed, no problem and did get absolute best to accommodate us at every turn! She absolutely saved this experience as we were trying to enjoy time away from our every day and by food alone, we won 't visit again when in the area.

Where do I start first time coming to this place I was on my way home and decided to stop here with my wife for dinner coming in the hostess was friendly they s... read more Where do I start first time coming to this place I was on my way home and decided to stop here with my wife for dinner coming in the hostess was friendly they sat us down by the bar was some how busy we wait for our server to welcome us and introduce her self and take our drinks and we wait it about 10m then she came and said that some one will come and take our drinks so I Todd she wasn't our server at the time we wait it more we were about to walk out a guy came Raul took our drinks and our meals order he said that they were busy which I can understand to a point and then came to find out that the server who said that some will come and take our order was supposed to be our server when I was done she came and drop off the check then I told her that I felt like mistreated because I felt that she didn't want to take care of our table the least she could do was to.let me know that she was busy and was going to send some else to take my order I would been perfectly fine with that but she said that the people she was taking care off was her regular people she was friendly with the regular people talking with then she was passing right by us never said one word so you telling me that if I'm not your regular you are not gonna treat me the same that's just B.S we been to so many Mexican restaurants and they never treated me like they did here the food was good but the the server was not there for us they need to treat everyone equally even if they're not regulars

The... read more Both times we've gone, the food was slightly underwhelming. The first was dine on, and not a bad experience. The second time was a call in carry out order. The young lady on the phone, had no idea what was on the menu, and every dish I tried to do my best of pronouncing, she kept thinking I was saying lettuce lol. We ended up getting a 3rd meal in our order, that I didn't order, but i realized I did indeed pay for when I got home. After my wife heard how much I paid, she showed me online that out 2 meals totalled around $25, I spent almost $37. Close to our house, which is good, but apparently closes at 830 on a Saturday night?

It's important to remember that star ratings should be based on the quality of food and service, not the price. First off, the service was outstanding! Secondly, the food was exceptional. I had the pork carnitas in tomatillo sauce, and it was the only truly authentic Mexican dish I've found in Indiana. The carnitas were fantastic! I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone. They also have a location in Fortville.

We used to love this place but the last few times we have been there the staff was not helpful or the food was not prepared correctly I normally order a dish th... read more We used to love this place but the last few times we have been there the staff was not helpful or the food was not prepared correctly I normally order a dish that has shrimp the first time I noticed my shrimp had not been cleaned chalked it up to an honest mistake, the next time the staff just seemed like we were bothering them, then just last night I ordered the same shrimp dish and brought left overs home and found yet again they did not clean the shrimp properly just got so grossed out, we gave them other chances to correct but we decided we will not be going back there. I will say the owners are very, very nice. I hate to give a review like this but I was just so grossed out and people should know if they order a dish with shrimp be sure to check it before you take a bite.

I would visit more frequently, but I can't tolerate the negative attitudes. A new employee has particularly impacted my experience in a negative way, and as a result, I won’t be returning.

This used to be my favorite authentic Mexican restaurant. I've tasted Mexican cuisine all over the country, and their verde chili was the best—no contest! However, my opinion has changed. It has become way too overpriced; they now charge $20 for arroz con pollo. Also, please, for the love of God, avoid takeout. They charge extra for containers, and even though salsa and nachos are usually complimentary, they now charge for those too. Plus, you're expected to leave a tip. My review has changed, and it will remain this way until they make some real adjustments.

Tried 3 times in 3 years and no improvement. It was dirty, waitress dressed inappropriately, and food was eh, bland and the sauce tasted like plain canned tomato. I really thought it had improved after seeing a social media post about a great experience and happy comments that followed. Maybe I'm just going at the wrong time, IDK but I'm done trying.
