We had a fantastic experience at the restaurant. I couldn't resist ordering the teriyaki steak and sake. The service and atmosphere both receive a 5-star rating. We will definitely be coming back again! View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Shogun:
I visited this restaurant at 6:30 o'clock. it was quite empty and I was told that my To-go order would take 15 minutes. I saw several customers sitting after me and getting their meals. I got my order only 7:30 o'clock. I would have received my order earlier. After expressing my frustration with the service, the only thing the manager had offered was a cup of limonade as an excuse. my Gyoza folder was cold. View all feedback.

Received through Door Dash and food was fresh and hot. So delicious!
The food was good, chef was amazing to watch, drinks were okay, waiter was horrible. To start, our party of two were seated at an empty hibachi grill. We ordered drinks and appetizers. (The waiter was well aware there were two of us).Also the menu stated... Party of 5 or more will be charged 18% gratuity We were later joined by a party of five, which consisted of mom/dad and their three kids.Then we noticed the waiter all of a sudden started catering to the family.The waiter arrived with our drinks and delivered our appetizers to the other party (mind you, they hadn't ordered anything yet)Then throughout our dining, I noticed he would assist the other party first without them asking; however my husband and I would literally have to get his attention to assist us with anything.After dinner, he miraculously noticed us again and asked if it would be okay to bring the check :|In addition to our order, we received an automatic 20% gratuity (although we were a party of two AND the menu stated ...party of 5 or more will be charged 18% gratuity).Now, I won't be quick and pull the race card; considering we are black and the other party was of asian descent, (same as the waiter). However, I will say he may need additional customer service training.By the way, the receipt listed the name THIEN.
The food was EXCELLENT! Always fresh! Pancho the cook was EXCELLENT and made us laugh! However, I guess the little waiter guy decided to steal a $10 tip. We gave the cook a cash tip. I clearly placed a 0 with a line through it on the tip line because we had taken care of it via cash. Today I receive a message saying that my total was updated to include a tip. Do not play with my card and money! $10 isn’t a lot, but if I didn’t give it, don’t STEAL IT!!Follow Up: On Tuesday, February 8 I spoke with Mr. Bill Zhang the owner of Shogun’s Pearland! He is one of the nicest owners that I’ve encountered. We spoke about the situation. While, I didn’t get the $10 back from the establishment the fact that he called me and assured me that he desires to keep his customers happy was good enough. We had a pleasant conversation! We laughed, talked, and I placed everything in God’s hands. If I had to rate Mr. Bill, I would give him 5 stars for his professionalism! This incident was unfortunate. However, it’s nothing we can’t move on from. Thanks for your time and response Mr. Bill. It’s greatly appreciated. Have an amazingly awesome and blessed day on purpose. This place has awesome food. Buttttttt I’m and unimpressed with service I waited two hours as people after us got served. I asked where our meal was they came back and said the FORGOT. Not to mention they were suppose to cook infront of us and didn’t. Then only gave us a free banana split cake. I would never go again.
