What an amazing experience trying different small plates. Food was wonderfully prepared and tastefully presented. Service was perfect and we loved the atmosphere. Even though it’s located in Patchogue Village, you won’t have to deal with looking for a parking spot, as it’s just outside of the craziness with their own lot. It can get pricey ordering several small plates, but it’s worth it! Definitely will be going bac... View all feedback.
What Florentija Rijnieks doesn't like about Toro Tapas & Tequilla:
My family of three adults and two well-behaved children visited this restaurant on a Sunday evening at 5pm. Despite the restaurant being half empty, the hostess rudely seated us at a bar table near the service station and kitchen door. After requesting to move, we were seated at a regular table by someone other than the unhelpful hostess. The waitstaff appeared either overwhelmed or poorly trained, leading to slow se... Eating in this restaurant is very good. delicious in the did. but the restaurant needs better administration. it is very expensive with the price point of about 5 star restaurants, but the service / ambiente / cleanliness does not match a 5 star restaurant. I ordered a cocktail from her cocktail menu list (one of her signature drinks,) but was said that they did not all of them. my friend went to the toilet room and told them that there were no paper towels in the toilet to dry their hands. I went to the restroom about 3 minutes later. two paper towel rolls had been placed on the opposite (always still in the paper towel plastic packaging), but there were toilet paper on the floor that had not been cleaned while they were there they were just there, they left it there. patchogue is a competitive city from a restaurant perspective, and based on this restaurant location, price point and service, they will fight if they can not do better than this. Perhaps it is the reason that during our visit on a Saturday evening of 19 o'clock they were not filled with customers. for 5 people with 4 alcoholic drinks and no dessert, our bill was $265. we ordered 1 cheese bowl for the table and 2 tapas each. that's really expensive.
Great! each time. we love the paella and have not found any appetizers we did not love. our neighbourly fave. can't wait to go back!
Friday before the day of the day. while the rest of the East-Pattogue was very crowded, not so much here. eating was very good, I have eaten paella so often that I have not ordered it anymore. I had a chance here and was so glad that I did it. seafood were tender, rice was moist, but not soggy, flavored directly. possibly the best paella I have eaten. 3 tapas as apps and all were tasty, tender and made to order. server was attentive, competent and sweet as sugar. excellent last minute choice for an unexpected date at night with my honey. do not miss this place.
What a great dinner and experience overall! Manager Shawn and Gabby our server were so attentive throughout our dinner. Amazing food, amazing vibe and incredible night at Toro! Recommend the meatballs and any one of the crowuetas. Awesome presentation and equally amazing flavor!
Came here for a night out with my fiancée. Service was very good. There was a large party in the dining area and we sat in the back but never felt as if we were forgotten. Tried the sliced meat plate and octopus (excellent) for an appetizer. Then had the meat paella which was fantastic. Lastly, coconut flan for dessert. What a nice gem in Patchogue. Will definitely come back.
