Love going here. I met my wife here and have had many parties here. I had my 40th birthday bash, both my daughters 1st birthdays here. Food is amazing and Trish will help you with everything here. I love this place and I love to call it home. Best grill cheese with bacon here and the surf and turf lobster burger with burrata is the BEST burger I have ever had. Everrrrrrr. Thank you

Public House is a great dinner date spot. It is dressy/casual. Depending on what day and time you go it can turn into club scene, if you're into that. They recently updated there menu to keep things new and interesting good hot pizza flatbread at 11pm!

According to Yelp I 've checked in here 20 times and haven 't reviewed yet so here we go... I 've come here for dinner once or twice; good food to my memory, a little on the pricier side but it is more of an 'upscale ' restaurant with a really chill, calm vibe. That being said, this is not my go to place for a nice sit down dinner but I wouldn 't steer anyone away from coming here for that. The real winner at this place is their Happy Hour. Just about everywhere in Patchogue offers their own specials but Public House for my crew I are hands down the best. In a mood for a dirty martini? Public House. In a mood for a beer? Public House. In a mood for something but you 're not sure so you tell the bartender everything you 're thinking and everything you want and they make you something perfect? Public House. They offer half off everything, top shelf included! (no shots, anything with Red Bull, or Patron I can live with that). The bartenders here reallyyy know their stuff and they get down with it; muddling, shaking, stirring, etc...and they 're pumping out some awesome cocktails. Drinks usually range $5 $6 which is insanely reasonable for a drink of that caliber. There 's a $20 minimum on cards, it 's easy to do but if you can 't there is an ATM in the back (I think it 's a $4 charge...so remember to bring cash or drink up).

My review of Public House 49 is almost 4 months late, so I apologize for the delay. However, I wanted to express my gratitude to everyone at the restaurant for making our post-wedding dinner a huge success! We were there with my parents and our closest friends, and everyone raved about their food, drinks, and the overall atmosphere. My wife and I were especially pleased because the restaurant went out of their way to provide us with gluten-reduced beer for our toast, which made the celebration even more special. I was told that Danielle even came in on her day off to fetch and deliver our beer – thank you again, Danielle! Needless to say, we will definitely be returning and are looking forward to another fantastic evening at Public House 49. Thank you once again and see you soon! -Matt @trainingsupernova

3.5 stars Food: The homemade chips they serve are tasty. I enjoy the cheesesteak eggrolls and the surf turf burger. Overall, the food is decent. Drinks: Happy hour offers 2 for 1 drinks, which is a great deal. Service: The bartenders are always friendly during happy hour. However, I had a mediocre experience with a waitress at a table. Atmosphere: On one evening with my husband, we had a negative encounter with a bouncer regarding my NJ ID. It was frustrating that they didn't have a scanner and seemed to have issues with underage patrons. I would avoid going on Friday or Saturday evenings when college kids are partying. However, I had a great time on New Year's Eve with an older crowd.
