Diner on 16th - Pasig

Diner on 16th is one of those places that gained popularity due to their infamous chicken waffle. I have never heard of them before nor their chicken waffles hence i kept an open mind during my visit. And besides I haven't eaten a lot of chicken waffles in my lifetime Wait...Fireside's version is different right? No...okay. Scratch that off, I've had chicken multiple times, waffles not so much. But I've never had chicken and waffles at the same time. The place is of moderate size. No fancy furniture. Typical diner set-up. And it reminds me of place where kids would go after school. Waffle Florentine (Php 350). 3 pieces buttermilk fries chicken, classic waffles, poached eggs, spinach, bacon & hollandaise sauce. Okay, i was surprised to see "buttermilk" on the menu because the chicken doesn't taste like the ones I've had in Fireside. Think of it as regular fried chicken sans seasoning. The waffles is mediocre (I've had better). Saving grace of the dish is the bacon (buti na lang may bacon kundi olats na ????) and the poached eggs. Ze eggs were cooked perfectly. I wasnt wowed with Diner. Will i go back? Nope. The travel is not worth it.

I had the most worst burger I had here in my life. The covered meat expired, lacked that it was missing to mask that, and had fake cheddar cheese on it. If you say you serve "American" Comfort Food, then you better use a fresh tasting (non-disgusting tasting) beef, and real cheddar cheese, no aromatic cheese sauce, which my burger was transferred! ???? I have bought 4 or more yum cheeseburger from Jolibee and would have been happier with this purchase when I was with the evil meatburger of Tgis Place. I'm so angry that I paid two of them, and it did not come up with french fries or potato chips because they were not in stock. They gave me the ice tea on the house to make the enemies no fries, but their iced tea is too cute, so I decided not to drink it. They served me in a tiny red trash can, and I think that the red trash cancel her new logo behind the words "Diner on 16" should be. This place should remove all burgers from your menu as they do not do well at all! Food is ok. The service is good. I had the Cheeseburger, who had a good beef. The chili cheese fries were ok, but I expected something better.
