The bar staff were friendly and accommodating when we placed our order. After ordering, we received a number, and our food was delivered to our table. Our meals arrived in a timely manner and appeared to be fresh. The menu offers classic bar food such as tater tots, fries, and burgers, along with an impressive selection of various beers. However, the staff who were clearing tables and delivering items seemed a bit stretched and overwhelmed. I'm not sure if it was just a shortage of staff that evening or if this is a common occurrence. The restaurant has plenty of parking in a well-kept lot and is conveniently located next to the Gold Line, making it accessible by public transport. They also offer free self-serve water. While I would think about coming back, it’s not high on my list of places I feel compelled to revisit.
I had an amazing experience at Congregation Ale House! The names of the food and drinks were both creative and perfectly matched the theme. The staff were friendly and attentive throughout my visit. The food was outstanding! The pizza crust was light and flavorful, the tater tots were crispy to perfection, the chicken sandwich was absolutely delicious, and the warm, salty pretzel tasted fantastic, especially when paired with the cheese sauce. I also tried the forbidden fruit beer, which was tart, fruity, and incredibly refreshing! There's also free parking in a spacious lot, and the location is very convenient. I highly recommend this place and definitely plan to come back!
This is a chill spot to relax with a beer and enjoy some great food. I really love that they have framboise on tap. I've been here several times and each time I've tried different dishes from the menu. I’ve never been disappointed with the quality of the food, and the selection is outstanding. I had the duck and bacon sausage, and it went wonderfully with a fantastic beer. I've also tried their burgers, which were satisfying in both size and taste.
Tried this place for the first time today and I can't stress enough how great of an experience I had. I'm originally from Grand Rapids, MI where microbreweries are a huge part of the city and culture (Beer City, USA). This place immediately made me and my parents who were in town feel right at home. We received absolutely outstanding service from our waiter, Kyle, who exhibited extensive knowledge of the menu and was able to recommend drinks and appetizers that were exactly what we were looking for. Seriously, he was one of the best servers I've ever had the pleasure of interacting with in my entire life, very attentive and personable, you can tell he is very passionate about giving people an experience to remember. The food (Ceviche de Cameron and chicarrones) were out of this world, 10/10 quality and presentation. The food menu consists of typical American dishes (burgers, fries, wings etc) as well as some Mexican dishes which have been newly added by the new owners. They also have a large list of ales/ciders and a selection of signature cocktails to choose from. There's definitely something for everyone here and everything we tried was a hit. I don't just recommend you try this place, it's an absolute must whether you live in the area or are just visiting. Will definitely be back again!
We used to come here once a month. Tried twice in past couple months and both times, awful. Service horrible, and they don’t seem to care. We waited 20 minutes with NO service and finally got up and left. Told them and they blew us off. Trying to be a Mexican restaurant now and serving run of the mill Mexican beers, um, you are a CRAFT house? Byeee.
