Some of the best around Pasadena. They do have a long wait time to cook the food but it’s worth it. Just adjust. They have a little space to park and eat. So I have usually done take out. I like this place and usually go for veggie rolls, pad see ewe, curry, soups and Thai tea. View all feedback.
What N doesn't like about Chim!:
We wanted to like this restaurant so badly, but unfortunately it fell short. Roti nice curry sauce, small portion, was fresh but part of the dough was uncooked. Red curry with tofu curry was thin but good flavor. Tofu pieces were huge, you could still see the indentations on the tofu skin from where it was removed from the packaging. Did not seem like much care was placed into this dish. Two pieces of pepper with a t... View all feedback.
The food was delicious! Both the Pad Thai and Pad See Ew were excellent. I noticed some comments mentioning that the portions were small, but my plate was quite large. I will definitely be returning! Food: 5/5
My friend and I visited on a Saturday afternoon and found that the indoor seating was limited, but they did have a charming outdoor area. The staff welcomed us right away and provided a QR code for the menu. We ordered the pad kee mao, papaya salad, and fried fish cake appetizers to share, as we were eager to try the highly praised dishes. However, we were disappointed as the flavors did not meet our expectations. The fish cakes were less plump compared to others I've had, although their dipping sauce was quite tasty. Unfortunately, the papaya salad and pad kee mao also lacked the bold, spicy, and delicious Thai flavors we had anticipated.
Chim! is my favorite Thai restaurant in the San Gabriel Valley. My top choices are the spicy basil chicken with an added fried egg and the spicy eggplant tofu with additional chicken, but I've enjoyed everything I've tried there. They cook with real woks, which gives the food that delicious smoky, caramelized wok hei flavor. If you like spicy food, don't hesitate to request it hotter, but be warned that the Thai hot level is quite intense. The service is friendly and quick. I recommend sitting indoors to admire the artwork inspired by Bangkok and its street vendors—it's definitely worth checking out!
This is probably my favorite Thai place in the area the yellow curry here is legit and I've tried most of them. It's consistently good and reasonably priced. This was my first time at the brick and mortar location but I frequently order delivery from here and it's always very, very good. The portions are generous, and the flavors are delicious. The vibe in here was definitely a little cramped, but in a cozy way, nit in an annoying way. There's a hustle and bustle in here that feels warm and inviting, especially while the staff exchanges smiles and laughs with one another. Very friendly and his potable service here, and I'll definitely be dining in more frequently in the future.Definitely give this place a shot if you haven't already. If you like Thai food, I doubt you'll be disappointed in the quality and consistency you'll get from Chim.
Inside, outside dining. Small place. Can get busy. Loved the food, prices and portions. Recommend yellow chicken curry. The chairs and benches aren't that comfortable but they go with the decor of the place. Will come again.Food: 5/5
