Olaide’s Kitchen - Parlin
Olaide’s Kitchen
Description
Bold, authentic Nigerian flavors take center stage with standout jollof, goat stews, fufu and plentiful vegetarian rice plates. Many praise homestyle, spicy dishes, friendly staff, fast takeout and ample free parking, while others report inconsistent quality, long waits and occasional undercooked or old-feeling chicken. The casual, lively spot is ideal for adventurous diners and families; ordering ahead is recommended to avoid service hiccups.

My friend recommended this restaurant. I’m glad she did. The food, atmosphere and service were amazing.
I see some ugly reviews about this restaurant on here. I’m so saddened, it’s your own people that would take their time, sit behind their computers and want to destroy you! Let’s support our kind and stop bad mouthing small businesses. No business establishment is perfect. If you feel you didn’t have a good experience with the service, kindly pick up a phone and let them know and give them a chance to get it right before coming here to rant! I tried Olaide’s Kitchen with my family this week, and I can categorically tell you that it’s one of the most tasteful African cuisine I’ve had since my 17 years living in NJ! The customer service is good too. They attended to us fast and the food came out at a reasonable time after we ordered. The place is very clean and cute. My 2 year old daughter enjoyed her Jollof rice, and while we were leaving, she became so fixated to and fascinated by one of the beautiful painting of an African woman hanging on the wall by the exit door. Enough??
Never ever disappoints! We ordered Jollof, Asun, puff puff, chicken, Asaro! A 10/10 across the board!!!
To be honest, I've never had this type of food before so I have nothing to compare it to. I can say the beef is well done and the dry seasoning was piled high. The rice was very tasty and spicy. The goat was.... well very goat . Very tough but in a very tasty sauce. The bean pie just wasn't for me. Their meat pie was good along with their sweet potato fries. Like I said I never had this type of food before some stuff I'll eat , definitely not,but you will never know if you don't try it. I got the Suya beef and puff puffs. Suya beef is not Suya. Looks like they grilled a cheap steak, reheated it for me and just added seasoning to it after it was cooked. Puff puffs do not look cooked. Would never order from here again. Also Suya was a very small portion. Not worth almost $20. Just all around terrible. Service: Delivery Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $20–30 Food: 1
