Was Anonym at Indilicious a mag?
great service. delicious food. our meals came out quickly. I love the decor. the tables are something very special. wood carved with glass above the top. beautiful atmosphere. a friend and I went for a special night, where it was $9 for a 3 curs meal. sooo ridiculously reasonable. I have the butter chicken and the Aloo-Ghobi-Curries I think. one was vego and the other huh. use the trip on a Wednesday night for a chea... View all feedback.
What Anonym dislikes about Indilicious:
I went to Indelicious with 2 friends last Sunday. We waited for at least 20 minutes until our glasses of house wine were served. There was only 1 waitress working and it was her first night. She kept answering the phone and taking takeaway orders instead of serving restaurant customers. Not her fault but management's fault for not training her properly. She had no idea how to do anything. They had no wines by the gla... View all feedback.
Visited for dinner on a Saturday night. Service was great; waitress very patient, coming back a couple of times to take our order while we chatted and decided what to order from the variety of dishes. Lovely decor and ambience, however tiled floors increased noise levels. The food was fresh tasting; not as much of a flavour 'punch' as other Indian restaurants I have visited, but I felt good after eating just a bit too much, and no nasty sodium headache afterwards. Only negative was there was just one wine by the glass option available; BYO wine or buy a bottle is an option if you are a group but not so great if it's just two of you.
We were greeted by a lovely friendly waitress who was very pleasant and attentive throughout the evening. Spacious and inviting rooms with interesting artwork and furniture, nice ambience. The food was amazing, beautifully presented and served in authentic dishes. Perfect serving size with a generous amount of meat, very flavoursome, not too spicy, nice and hot. The dainty serve of ice-cream for dessert was high quality and delicious! Only (slight) negative was that the windows could do with a clean.
Probably the worst Indian food I’ve ever eaten. We decided to try this place based on many positive reviews we had seen online and were severely disappointed. Our naans tasted like they had been defrosted in the microwave and slapped on a plate for us (soggy and sticky rather than crispy and fluffy). The four curries we ordered (butter chicken, Saag, Rogan Josh and korma) all tasted the same, and were all lack luster. When we ordered a jug of tap water, we were quickly served one but had to send it back just as fast because the water tasted so bad. Our waitress then replaced the jug, hoping it would solve the problem. We went through jugs and they all tasted like dirt. The only positive was that the tables and decor were nice, but that’s nowhere near enough to get me back through those doors.
This is quite possibly the worst Indian food I have ever experienced. Despite hearing many positive reviews online, my dining experience at this restaurant was extremely disappointing. The naan bread we ordered tasted as if it had been defrosted in a microwave and lacked the desired crispiness and fluffiness. The four curries we tried, including butter chicken, Saag, Rogan Josh, and korma, all had a similar taste and were underwhelming. Even the tap water we requested tasted unpleasant, forcing us to send back multiple jugs that tasted like dirt. The only redeeming quality was the nice tables and decor, but that alone is not enough to entice me to return to this establishment.
We ordered take away from this establishment on a deal! The owner was very proud (when we picked up our order), on how many deals had been sold, unfortunately because of these deals, the food was severely compromised. Our pakoras were little burnt black nuggets of no taste, how could they even leave the kitchen? The rest of the dishes were so ordinary, we didn't even finish them. The servings were very small. Definitely would not return, which is a real shame because the dining room is quite nice. If you are going to put yourself out there on the deal sites, make sure you are promoting your food and never forget that word of mouth means everything.
