I enjoyed a lovely meal (grilled Salmon) with garlic bread. Along with drinks and conversations. Staff were friendly and helpful towards a weary traveller, providing helpful local advice. I would gladly go back. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about The Parkes Services Club Bistro:
Being a permanent resident in Parkes thought we would give the Bistro another go after previous dismal meals. Well things haven't changed. Ordered the 'Specials', Spaghetti and Meatballs, almost inedible..meatballs were mush, little flavour the only plus was the spaghetti was fine. Also ordered fish of the day...well after waiting almost 20 minutes the fish arrived with almost every molecule of moisture evaporated ou... View all feedback.
Dinner there the 1st night of the Elvis Festival, long food queues but very well organised and friendly staff, food was excellent and considering the crowd not a long wait....well done to all at the SERVICES Club. Very good entertainment also..a 3 women group...wonderful songs
We actually chose this place based on pussycats review below. The play area was amazing for the kids and allowed us parents to actually eat a meal together while our kids played. The food was pretty good. Great prices and big portions. Recommend 100
I would have rated this bistro a lot higher as the food is fantastic, staff are friendly and helpful. However, there were kids running around like crqzy in the closed up kiddy play area with no one doing anything about it. This dragged away from what should have been a pleasant experience. There actually was a sign saying that the kids play area was blocked off (due to complaints about the noise! but parents just let their kids climb the fence, and turned a blind eye... Once we moved to another area, the club was really nice and comfortable. The pokies were good too for a flutter. Overall a really nice bistro but if youve got kids screaming and running around like its Disneyland it really isnt giving patrons a good experience. Either make it an indoor funland for kids or a bistro not both.
So there was very little I could eat being gluten free as well as vegetarian but was offered mash and veggies which was really nicely prepared. Nothing flash ceratinly but ticked the box for requirements. All meals were large and tasty. The service helpful and efficient not necessarily knowledgeable in terms of coeliac awareness. Chef may have been but front of house staff not so much.
Good place if you you want reasonable club food at reasonable prices. Worth joining, if you are going to have a meal and a few drinks. We more than saved our joining fee in one night. And we hope to visit Parkes again.
