KFC - Parkes

Should have read the reviews before walking into this dump. Looked very dirty and was ignored by at least 4 staff. When I asked if they serve at the counter or if it was a drive through only the blonde girl snapped saying she was busy with an order. Mind you she did not acknowledge me at all in the whole 10min I stood at the counter. Sorry cannot say if the food was **** or not as we went across the road to McDonalds and got served so much quicker and it was clean.

On Sunday at 2 pm, I ordered a family feast with an extra potato and gravy from KFC Parkes. The staff placed the chips on the counter and then began talking about a couple that walked in. One of them played with the chicken for a while before finally continuing to pack my order. By the time I received it, the chips were cold. To make matters worse, my order was missing the coleslaw and only had one small potato and gravy. When I politely asked them to check my order, they looked at each other, grunted, and finally corrected the mistake. I have never had good service from KFC Parkes.

My family of five stopped at this KFC for a quick, unhealthy dinner after a long drive from Brisbane to Parkes. We were shocked to find the restaurant extremely dirty inside. It appeared as though it had not been cleaned in a long time. The floors were greasy with rubbish scattered all over, and the tables and seats were messy and dirty. The service was decent and the food was average, although we noticed that the original chicken was not seasoned as well as usual. This restaurant really needs to prioritize cleanliness.

This is in relation to the Parkes NSW store, I feel like starting a petition to have the C taken from KFC. Purely for the simple fact, this store never has chicken. Tonight make it 4/4 of my last visits that there is something missing or not available. I ordered the “Bucket for 1” which is meant to have 4 pieces of chicken, for myself, and 5 piece chicken tenders for my parter. Got told that was fine, until I got to the window, where I was informed that there was only 3 pieces of chicken in the whole store, if I wanted more it would be 13mins. Oh but if I wanted original tenders they could help me. TBH if I wanted tenders I would’ve got them. The time before they were out of wicked wings, with a 14 min wait. Time before that it was original recipe again. Oh and the time before that they forgot to put the chicken in. I think you might be starting to get a bit of an idea of what this place is like!? This has happened at busy times and traditionally quiet times. When trying to talk with staff it’s hit or miss, sometimes the entry level staff seem to have more of a idea than the management, which is scary! Please KFC, for the sake of the Parkes community, send someone from head office to sort this place out, or even just close it down. I understand hospitality, I’ve been involved in this industry for 16+ years, from Cafe service to 5 Star, from dish pig to venue manager. If I went to the super market for plain milk (for my coffee etc) but get offered Choc milk as a replacement, is it really the same? Wish I had a chance to score zero.

Didn't start well when staff are leaning on the counter to take your order. Ran out of bacon. Chips were cold, I opened my wrap and it looked like road kill. Turned around took it all back. The young manageress was very sorry and offered to remake it all herself, no thanks. There was another customer returning their order behind us.
