During our last stay in the quartier latin we stayed near the maison sen, vietnamese restaurant. as we both enjoy the Vietnamese cuisine, we decided to taste the food. the restaurant, while it is simply decorated, has a certain warm and relaxed style that is close to la sorbonne. the staff is tight, friendly and always courteous and the food was delivered quickly, I cannot describe our joy and amazement as we have taken the first swallow suppe and bite of our meal. the pho suppe, in a word, delicious, and was by far the best pho I tasted everywhere on the world. obviously the French influence of the soup production had worked his magic on the chef. I can't imagine how the cook has managed to combine the lightness and the scent of the Pho soup with a full and smooth that is connected to a consommé. the raw bark was delicious as the spice of suppe were added. our other meals, grilled bark meat with cold Vermicelli noodles, and the pork and pumpkin summer rolls were just as delicious and we stayed over our empty plates that look at the other elements on the menu. we decided to return the next day (and how it turned out daily for the rest of our stay in paris). and try more of them. in a city and a country where food is celebrated and increased to the level of national pride, maison sen is just for its Vietnamese heritage and French joy at eating.
I'm a vegan but when I travel to countries where I'm horrible with the language, I typically go vegetarian to make life easier.
First let me say that Pema Thang is not an Asian Fusion restaurant: it is a Tibetan restaurant that offers only vegetarian/vegan fare.
Inputs and delicious dishes! Smiling and warm welcome. we dine on the terrace with a comfortable outdoor heating and a view of the sublime Cluny museum. What more?
