We booked this hotel to be on the Marais. It is not. The surrounding area is seedy, and we were not comfortable walking around at night. The lobby of the hotel... read more We booked this hotel to be on the Marais. It is not. The surrounding area is seedy, and we were not comfortable walking around at night. The lobby of the hotel is just ok. The rooms were large and comfortable, but the bed was raised up on a platform and not easy for an older person to get up and down especially at night. Bare minimum of toiletries. The breakfast was fair and even though we paid for it, was not served on New Years Day. We were told it would be a lighter breakfast, but other than coffee, nothing was available.
