Excellent fish and seafood and very chic atmosphere and service. Nice location in the heart of PARIS as well
I chose to visit this restaurant solely because it has a Michelin star, but in hindsight, I should have trusted the Google reviews instead. The experience was deeply disappointing from start to finish. We waited 70 minutes for our main courses after placing the order. When we first arrived and were seated, no one brought us menus—I had to get up and ask for them myself. That already set a very poor tone for the evening. There was nothing about this place that reflected the standards of a Michelin-starred restaurant: neither the service, nor the food, nor even the tableware. The only redeeming factor was the wine and the nice wine glasses. The service was cold and indifferent, and it felt like the staff simply didn’t care. Our starters—4 oysters and a tartare—took 25 minutes to arrive after we ordered. Then it was another 40 minutes before we got our mains. And this happened while the restaurant was only half full. I am extremely dissatisfied with this experience and strongly advise against being misled by the Michelin Guide listing. This is a restaurant that urgently needs to improve its staff training, kitchen operations, and overall service speed. Especially considering that a meal here costs at least €100 per person without drinks—that’s simply absurd for what you get. Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 2
Very disappointing. Service was fine. Ambiance is quiet and elegant. Staff is very professional. However, food is nowhere near what you’d expect for the price. The pastilla was unexceptional, the soupe des roches had been reduced so much that it was way too salty and intense, like drinking broth not soup. The side small slices of fish that came with it were the opposite, insipid. The anchovies to share were not much better than out of a tin but sliced so thin that it barely even registered. The pavlova was nice but the chestnut ice cream and sauce it was served with were unremarkable. Overall, a pretentious rip-off.
We enjoyed each other from the beginning to the end. An impressive wine map and thanks to Fred for his home gin and all his advice! If you like high quality seafood, run it without delay. Validated!
