Was Kale Bechtelar at Boti a mag?
This is a tiny and elegant restaurant in Paris' hype neighbourhood of Ménilmontant. The manager acts both as a cook and waiter. The one-man setup reminds me of a gourmet food truck! As mentioned in many reviews, menu changes every week. What I had last night was a lightly pan-fried monkfish served with a wonderfully fragrant chorizo sauce, and a side of crunchy snow peas and shredded zucchini! For dessert, panna cotta , topped with a nice dose of mango coulis... texture was perfect, and the chilled ending to an extremely warm and balmy night was a heavenly experience! Kudos the the chef!!
A small restaurant with a small menu, reviewed each week. The chef is very friendly, explaining the composition of each dish and adapting his recipes to eveyone's needs (great for people with food allergies). The dishes are simple but really tasty and colorful, a good address!

It's good, it's good, it's original, it's nice, the value ratio price is barely croyable, it's absolutely doing
Imaginative cuisine, perfectly executed, in this a man show hole in the wall restaurant near Pere Lachaise. The midday formula of starter and main course for 12 euros is excellent, and the dessert is worth the additional 3 euros. The same menu costs 20 euros for two courses and 24 for three courses in the evening. The menu changes weekly with three options from appetizers, nets and desserts, including a vegetarian option. The faux filet d'agneau was perfectly pink and came with delicious mixed vegetables and a chestnut pure. The fennel risotto was delicious. Our appetizers were original and beautifully presented a salad with Thazard, which is a smoked fish associated with swordfish, and smoked stomach of the duck on a tasty bed of the barkberries, giroll mushrooms and mustard leaves. The gooseberry crumb was a winner, and the Bio Cotes du Rhône washes it perfectly. Dinner for two with a bottle of wine was a very reasonable 7 franck, the owner, cook and waiter, made us welcome and explains how his kitchen influenced by his Japanese woman and cooking for her young son. The curious Danish name of the restaurant comes from the Japanese word for a cemetery. Only drawback: Boti does not take credit cards. Only cash or check.
