Reviews - Menya Sandaime
Reviews summary
Located within the Westfield Garden State Plaza food court, this ramen spot offers a mixed experience. While some diners appreciate the authentic flavors and heartwarming broth, others find it lacking the traditional chewy texture and quality, particularly with the chashu. Service can be inconsistent, with some customers reporting issues with order accuracy. Despite its drawbacks, many patrons commend the generous portions and flavorful ramen that stands out against typical mall fare. Overall, while not gourmet, this eatery provides a satisfying option for ramen lovers seeking convenience and comfort while shopping.

Disappointed by the sloppy service. I explicitly asked for no scallions due to food sensitivity, yet they still included it. They also did not pack any broth (to go order), which defeats the purpose of eating ramen. Very surprising given how fewcustomers they had.
This isn't gourmet japanese ramen, but it is unbelievably delicious. For a food court/fast food experience the food tastes authentic, fresh, and delicious for the speed. Great staff sets it up for you. We got the chicken ramen and vegetable shoyuramen as well as a bun. All was delicious and quick, well above expectations. If you're at the GSP and haven't tried this yet,it's worth a try!
I?ve been craving for authentic Japanese ramen meals for the longest time and thank goodness I found this place for first time after awhile for not coming to the Garden State Plaza mall. Noodles are cooked to perfection, broth sizzling with the righttemperature and the crunchy pork added to it made it one of the best meals I had for a long time. Definitely recommended forramen lovers here! In the word of Rengoku from Demon Slayer: UMAI!!!
Although not the best ramen I've ever had, this restaurant does satisfy my craving for ramen. My go-to dish is the tonkatsu ramen.

Located in inside the Westfield Mall foodcourt.Tried cup oodong/shrimp tempura.Oodong broth was bit on the sweet side which I was not fond of and 4 shrimp tempura was bit soggy inside but overall it wasn't too bad. The least busiest vendor, could it be the price, $17.
Lots of veggies and noodles underneath the sliced pork. everything tasted very good, even pork belly was sliced too thin and cooked crispy.
I was hesitant to try the ramen at the GSP food court, but it turned out to be fantastic! There wasn't a long line when I went, so ordering was quick and the staff was friendly. The food didn't take long to come out, and it was served on a nice cardboard tray with the ramen in a paper bowl. The flavor was excellent, the temperature was just right, and overall, I really enjoyed it. While it may not be the best ramen I've ever had, I would definitely get it again whenever I'm at the mall.
Fresh, hot Japanese ramen at Garden State Plaza! Food court mall food doesn't typically stand out, but I got to give this establishment bonus points for their plating thoughtfulness. They give out disposable trays to carry their food within the food court. I ordered the Tonkatsu ramen, which was delicious. The soup was not as rich and flavorful as that of other Menya restaurants. It was topped with fresh veggies like scallions, bean sprouts and spinach! The noodles were bouncy and had a good texture to them. tldr; Food 4/5 Service 4/5 Interior 4/5

I was so excited when I heard they opened a location here! I absolutely love the food at Menya Sandaime—it always exceeds my expectations. I highly recommend it!
The ramen broth tastes as though it was made by simply mixing hot water with instant noodle flavor packets. The noodles lack the traditional chewy texture of ramen and the chashu is hard and dry. Overall, the dish is very disappointing and not worth trying.
So happy this place opened in the food court. What a nice change from all the Chinese food places and fast food! The ramen here was tasty but they put so many scallions that it kind of overpowered the ramen noodles. I thought scallions were for garnish! The broth was flavorful and the egg cooked perfectly. They give you a good portion so you will be full. The pork buns were really good.
