Hightower Trading Post Cafe - PAONIA

The food is fantastic at both locations, run by a dedicated chef who clearly has a talent for cooking. However, I had a disappointing experience when I ordered breakfast on February 26th in Hotchkiss. I got the chicken fried steak and eggs, and unfortunately, the meat was old, unappetizing, and poorly prepared. The coating had a strange fishy taste, and the dish was just not put together well. It was honestly the worst meal I've ever had. Carey, I recommend you reconsider the staff—especially the older gentleman who appeared to have prepared the meal. You need a team that can represent your standards effectively.

Wonderful breakfast! The staff was incredibly friendly and patient with our large group of young children. We had a fantastic experience.

I love starting my day at this coffee shop. It's a great place to enjoy your morning, though if you're in a rush, keep in mind it's not the quickest spot. The owner runs the kitchen and makes fresh strudel every day, along with his own jams. I usually get there a little early, set down my things, and wait for him to open at 7. It's definitely worth a visit!
