We thought it was a wine tasting and the wine flight was delicious and cheap! We ordered food, which was very good, but we waited for 2 hours. I think they were understated. I wanted to love this place. The staff are wonderful and the atmosphere is gorgeous. The food and wine, however, are just bad. The spring roll is a so so, undressed salad served in four tiny piles for $15. The bison sliders are charred, unseasoned hockey pucks. What a beautiful place!! Great food! Suggest the breakfast bowl! And Lee was so nice! We are happy to try our bottle of wine, which we also bought!
This is a charming, great small place for coffee, wine and small dishes. It serves good coffee from the bakery next to it (Rubicon Roasting) and local wines from Paonia and Colorado. The staff is very friendly, and the cakes and cakes are great. Definitely worth a stop when you stay in Paonia, or just drive past and have to shake off the dust.

Amazing little place! We came in with 8 people and they curbed the food. Delicious! A so sweet set, we wish we could have stayed for a wine. Amazing views
Sometimes, things just fall into place. Our visit to Root and Vine Market was one of those things. We were traveling from Aspen to Telluride and decided on a whim to stop in to taste some Colorado wine and have lunch. We really enjoyed ourselves. The wine was really nice and the lunch was great. Highly recommend!
