The Living Farm Cafe - PAONIA

I was so impressed by the town of Paonia and The Living Farm Cafe is a jewel in its crown. All we had was delicious and the service was impeccable. I had a burger and my friend had the short ribs and the next time I go, I will have a hard time not ordering one of the two again, but there were a number of elements on the menu that I would have been happy with. We shared a brownie for dessert that was warm and amazing.

Eating outside with a party of four, and it was all excellent. I enjoyed the big boil salad with fresh mixed green, with a local chèvre, which was the lightest goat cheese I've ever tried. I can also recommend the bacon-wrapped dates and apple mimosa.

My wife and I just ate a great lunch at Living Farm Cafe and Inn! My wife loved the variety of rooms for the food inside, and we sat in a room that had a nice, cozy feeling. The windows looked out on the outdoor terrace and the trees (we will try to eat the outdoor terrace, as the weather later heated this year. We had a friendly host greeting and set ourselves and also a friendly server waiting for us. I had a fantastic tasting cale salad and wonderfully tasteful Beetnik sandwich (we were surprised that they found a way to taste beets so good! My wife had a gourmet salad with delicate mesclun leaves, candied walnuts and apples. We had a pleasant experience and look forward to eating another great option in Paonia when we show characteristics there! We will be back in the future!!

Burgers and salads were very good, like service. Very disappointed with grilled cheese and tomatoes with pesto sandwich. More like 2 pieces toast, Pesto was good, but would have expected a hearty tomato slice.... especially at the end of August and some tangent cheese.

Sadly the Living Farm Cafe has not survived. But this location will have another restaurant soon.
