We love this place! We have been twice already and will definitely be returning. The vegan cuisine is both fancy and reasonably priced, with consistently friendly staff. But most importantly, the food is always delicious! View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about The Allotment Vegan Eatery:
We went there for a Sunday lunch and unfortunately it was hugely disappointing. We were swiftly taken to a table when we arrived but then waited for over 20min for anyone to take our order. We decided to go for cauliflower wings (nothing special and quite tough) and soup of the day which was roasted vegetable (definitely was expecting a nicer soup at a restaurant this tasted like blended undercooked supermarket soup... We visited The Alottment on a Sunday for lunch. It was a restricted menu on a Sunday which was a shame. We had the Tofu skewers to start. The satay sauce was delicious but the tofu was ok. The beetroot risotto was lovely and the tacos were good. Sticky toffee pudding was divine. It was a shame it was quiet as there wasn’t much atmosphere. I would like to revisit on an evening. Overall I would recommend and definitely return.
Very disappointed that the Sunday Roast was no longer being offered. Menu limited now to four mains and two desserts.
First time dining here and I was not disappointed. Beautiful decor, friendly staff. Great service. The food was beautifully presented and tasted amazing. And it was so lovely to see Vegan desserts on the menu that were not just a sorbet or fruit related. The lemon blueberry cheesecake was insane!! Can't wait to go back.
Excellent location just across from the Manchester Cathedral. Quiet inside, lovely outdoor seating as well. It was Manchester Days so we opted for inside. Lovely decor, fantastic food. Great Service as well. Thank you.
A quiet Saturday lunchtime, but the music inside was very loud. It was turned down when I asked. I'm vegan and also gluten free ... Abbs intolerant to chilli. Everything on the menu used to be gluten free, which was wonderful. Now most things are gf, but not all. I ordered the sharing platter, and wasn't able to have the popcorn cauliflower. Additional plantballs were readily added instead. Not could I have satay skewers, and a portion of chips was added in lieu of them. The best part of the platter was undoubtedly the fantastic, hot chips. Delicious. I was surprised that the plantballs were not hot, but tepid. They tasted good, however. The olives were a good size and tasty and the mixed antipasti was ok. The gluten free bread roll, served instead of crostini was soft. The wine was acceptable, but we had to ask for water. I saw an afternoon tea being served, and that looked very interesting ... perhaps another day!
