Cool old location. Food was amazing and the drinks were just as good. The outdoor seating was pretty cool with the train traffic also. Our server was very good and very nice. Service: Dine in Meal type: Brunch Price per person: $20–30 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes: Wings
Took my parents to Steaming Tender for their 63rd Anniversary. I mentioned to the greeter that it was their anniversary and later in our meal the staff came over to the table to sing a congratulations song to them. It made my parents' day! Everyone was so nice and attentive. Our two wait people (one was training) were so kind and fun. The food was excellent. This is not the first time I have eaten here and every time has been wonderful. They go above and beyond!
The burger was well cooked (medium was really medium. Wife had the haddock with lobster sauce and the broccoli had a honey mustard with crasains. Bread pudding flight was whiskey, strawberry rhubarb, and blueberry. Highly recommended. It's in an oldtrain depot so there's lots of history to look at too.
The food is not very good in my opinion. I got the Mac and cheese because I was told it was very good. It was very mediocre and the chicken I had added was dry. The atmosphere was cool because it's inside of an old train station. Kids will really enjoy it for that reason but there's nothing really interactive inside other than in the lobby. What is cool is that you still hear the trains come by while you're having lunch or dinner. This is definitely for the older crowd. That's all that was really there. Plenty of parking which is nice. It was very pricey though. Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch Price per person: $30–50 Food: 1 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5
Hit or miss, mostly miss. The menu is filled with warm and serve over priced drab. They maintain domestic beers but struggle with local inventory. If you wait long enough, they will rename several of the dishes to try to make it more appealing. It’s an old train station and depending on where you sit your chair probably wobble from the worn floors that need repair. But that won’t bother you, especially if you go in the rain as you walk to the front door and get soaked from the water is pouring off of the roof. Make sure you get a reservation you wouldn’t want to have to be asked to move your seat after you have already began to order. Much better food, just a few miles away at Salem Cross, or fins and tails to name a few. Service: Dine in Meal type: Other Price per person: $100+ Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1
