I haven't been to a Friendly's in about 3 or 4 years, but I recently visited this location for the second time. The restaurant was in great condition, almost like new. The employees, including the on-duty manager, were working hard and providing excellent service despite the busyness of the restaurant. I opted for the three-course dessert for an additional $1.99 and it was a delightful treat. Thank you for a job well done!
It is disappointing to see the decline of this once iconic New England restaurant. Even the ice cream cannot redeem the quality of the establishment. I believe that within a year, this business will inevitably shut down. This is difficult for me to admit, as it used to be a favorite spot to take my children for dining. We have created many fond memories there over the years. However, our experience tonight was disappointing. We went in for ice cream at 8 pm and did not receive our order until 9 pm, despite there being only 4 other customers in the restaurant. Our server, Allssa (presumably), was apologetic, but it is evident that the establishment does not prioritize customer service. The restaurant was dirty and no one bid us farewell or thanked us as we left. Although the taste of the ice cream was acceptable, one sundae was missing a significant portion of ice cream, while another of the same kind was overflowing. The to-go containers were also only half full. Despite my disappointment, I did not raise any complaints due to the lengthy wait. After countless meals at this restaurant, I can confidently say that our family will not be returning. It is unfortunate.
Went to 1811 Boston Rd Friendly's in Wilbraham, Ma yesterday with my husband. The waitress Melanie greeted us right away and showed us to our seat. She took our order and our food came in a timely manner. Never did we have to wait for anything, our waitress was very friendly and very prompt. She came back to the table a few times to see if we needed anything. Great customer service. We'll be back and make sure Melanie is our server.
Food was ok, but the service was terrible. We ordered ice cream after dinner and it took more than 20 minutes to get it. There were only a handful of tables seated.Definitely avoid it if you don't have a lot extra time.
Our experience at this restaurant was extremely disappointing. Despite there being only a few tables in use, we waited for two hours with little urgency from our waitress, Carlie H. Fortunately, other employees did come to our table. The sundae we ordered had mint chocolate chip ice cream, but the ice cream was mostly vanilla and the chocolate chips were provided on the side. This lack of attention to detail was unacceptable. As someone who has worked in the food industry for five years, I am usually understanding, but this experience was particularly bad. We will not be returning to this location due to the comically bad service we received.
