The waiter kindly directed us to sit down at first, and while... read more Four of us found ourselves at this pub in Palermo by chance, looking for a place to have a drink. The waiter kindly directed us to sit down at first, and while we were ordering, another guy and I ordered drinks, while our two girlfriends chose not to order anything. After we ordered, the waiter came back and told us that since we had a reservation at the table for four where he'd seated us without any problems, we'd have to move to a higher table with stools if the girls hadn't ordered anything. We decided to accept and moved to the higher table. Once there, we waited for the arrival of two more missing stools. The waiter came back and informed us that we couldn't sit there because they had no more stools, so to get a drink, we either had to get takeout or the girls had to order. We then decided to order two takeaway cocktails. Once we'd gotten them, we turned around and saw three young men sitting at a high table, and the waiter calmly brought them another stool for the third person. To apologize for the inconvenience, they seated us at another business they own on the next street. What was missing was transparency from the start, making us take unnecessary detours. It was truly ridiculous and in terrible taste.
