After a day of walking under the rain for the caminodesantiago we were exhausted and freezing cold so we sought refuge in this bar. The owner prevented us from using the phone and kicked us out only interested in our spending money. The situation was so dire and our physical condition so bad that I caught pneumonia as a result and upon arriving home I had to be hospitalized for 4 days. I had an abscess and required surgery. I only recovered after 2 months of therapy and complete rest. Although up to that point my experience on the Camino has been good, the way the owner of this bar treated me and my friends made me regret ever going in the first place.

We stopped for the night in Ponteareas on our al Camiño walk and visited this restaurant for dinner. There were not many customers at this time. We ordered the burger, sausage and the fried padrons (local peppers). The food was fresh and tasty and we loved it in the cold wet weather .

Marscada with my wife led us to finish it with many percebes. all fresquito and tasty. We took a few bottles of albariño at a very good price. A wonder.

The owner was very hostile from the moment I walked in, he seemed to be annoyed that I didn't speak Spanish even though his restaurant is directly on the Camino and largely caters to tourists. Food was very average, but you have to pay to use the toilet, which was extremely dirty.

We stopped off for a couple of beers. €1 to use the toilet... which would be just about acceptable if there was soap, hot water or a way of drying your hands!
