Was Anna R at Al Roccolo a mag?
Very simple 'osteria ', which could do with a little uplift. On a clear day has a lovely view of the area below and Padova in the distance. Area is lovely for walks, before or after meal. Food is always good with attention for the local fruits and vegetables of the season. Sevice fast and efficient, and Sandro, I think owner, always very polite. View all feedback.

What internaltravel dislikes about Al Roccolo:
We only stopped for a few drinks but it was a great view with good service but the whole place had a slightly abandoned feeling. The could do so much better if they cleaned everything up a little. Could, and should, do better with its location. View all feedback.

I know very well this area famous ofr chargrilled beef but in this restaurant there is a greater choice of menu, with cold and hot plates all of good quality and well presented. We turned up without reservation but the staff politely find us a place in a few minutes, very professional. Last but not least there is the view over 4 provinces....superb

I like this restaurant and have been there several times over the years. The food is good, wholesome, simple and predictable. he pasta is always hearty and reliable. No frills local fare. The views from outside are spectacular looking down from the Euganean Hills over the towns of Abano and Montegrotto Terme.

We decided in a few minutes whether to eat or not at this place after a friend gave me advice. We hopped onthe car and drove for about 30 minutes in direction of Colli Euganei. Once we got there we found a steep hillroad to defy, along with a certain amount of fog, and finally got to a wide parking lot. The restaurant is old-style fashioned, not very up to date, but cozy and warm as all typical place. We ate excellent polenta with fungi and veggies, bigoli (sort of spagheti) with duck sauce and meat, sausages bites with peperoni reduction, polenta, black truffle and fungi and finished with a supreme dish... Last was a couple of quails rolled up in a bacon sheet and black rice at its side. Top class
