We had a really lovely anniversary meal on the patio here. We were incredibly impressed with the food and the service, and happily surprised by what extensive measures the staff took to make us comfortable during covid (masks, distancing, and plastic screens inside. The food was great, but the desserts were particularly excellent we got the treacle tart and chocolate cake and both were sublime.

Being from the US, when I imagine an upscale British restaurant to meet someone for tea: this would be the place. They have an awesome outdoor patio area
