Amazing food! Like I was eating in Italy again. Very tasty, good portions too. My boyfriend had the Calzone and they put garlic oil on the dough and it tasted amazing! So good! What begood786 doesn't like about La Cucina:
This restaurant is a rip off! They serve tiny portions of pizza and tuna salad at double the price. This has happened more than once in November 2023. The serving sizes are unbelievably small. The manager, Iola, is unprofessional and unsympathetic to customers. She made us feel like we were lying and her attitude was impolite and aggressive. We will never order from La Cucina again. It's modern well known italian restaurants in Oxford for some #1 and according to foursquare it's #3 if you want to be precise.
We had our conference dinner here, prepaid and down the street from Oxford Brookes University.
Awful service - we had to stand up to ask for the bill ourselves when the restaurant was empty. Food is mediocre. If you want Italian, go to Marios
My friend and I had dinner on Tuesday night. I didn't know what to expect. but must say that eating was excellent. we have just returned from a week in venice and eating was exactly the same. the common starter plate was delicious, I could eat it to breakfast, dinner and tee. they also had the greatest selection of amaro that I saw outside italian. the calf liver was so soft. can not recommend this restaurant very much.
To my gluten-free friends in oxford is not only eating delicious and the personal wonderful, but la cucina has the best gluten-free menu with the most options I have ever seen! thank you, la cucina! I am back!
