Very nice and spacious restaurant (which is rare in Oxford). Staff are efficient and food is tasty. However, over past year the prices have been hiked considerably whilst the portions appearing much smaller View all feedback.
What STRobinson1001 doesn't like about Comptoir Libanais:
Sadly shrinkage has clearly hit comptoir. There rap’s were amazing before and always a little pricey but it was worth it for sure but now it’s £13 for an ‘open rap’ which takes up the whole plate and you get less food. Mine was meant to have olives in and it didn’t. I don’t feel like it was good deal at all. Spent £40 with half a pint being £4 of that! I had a lovely lunch at this restaurant with friendly service and a pleasant atmosphere. You have the option to order through an app or with a server, but I recommend ordering through a server as the app automatically adds a 12.5% service charge that can be difficult to avoid. The app also prompts you to leave a tip, though it's unclear what the difference is. Overall, the food was excellent and the restaurant is conveniently located in the center of Oxford.
The food was excellent! I ordered the Halloumi and dates and they were delicious. Daniel provided great service and efficiently handled our diverse orders.
The food was delicious and the service was polite. However, we experienced a long wait for our food and the starters and main course arrived at the same time. As a result, we sent back the main course, which ended up sitting under heat lights until it was ready to be served. Despite this, we would still consider going back for the food.
Food was great though the portions were a bit on the smaller side for me. The service was quite slow and we had people finishing their mains before starters were there for other people. It was a Friday night at peak time but other than that it was good.
Took my mum on a date, she was on the raspberry mojitos and getting real friendly
