I showed up without a reservation and the owner Amadeu, a sharp gentleman with a charismati... read more I was visiting Cortegaça and stumbled upon this gem of a restaurant. I showed up without a reservation and the owner Amadeu, a sharp gentleman with a charismatic temperament squeezed us in for a table of two. We ordered the calamari and clams and I must say, they were the best that I have ever had. While we waited many locals came in and were graciously greeted by Amadeu like an old relative. Our meal was so memorable that we immediately decided to eat there again the next day (I like to explore in general but this place was something special so we wanted to try it to reconfirm our first dinner’s opinion) so we spoke to the waiter to make us a reservation the next evening... we had a phenomenal filet minion and seafood rice...as a tourist, if you are in the vicinity of this restaurant, make a reservation without hesitation. Amadeu will take great care of you. Evening reservation for a sunset dinner on the ocean of Portugal never tasted better.

Prices are not inflated considering: location, food quality and service attention

All was really good; too much oil for me but this is portuguese cuisine style: lot of seasoning. Try guys! If u seat outside you Won't disappointed.
