The best fish experience in Esmoriz/Cortegaça. Ocean views the best fresh seafood of the district. Seafood rice one of the best of the world for me... one last word for the friendliest staff ever! Amadeu and his crew are the best!

Pros: great location and views sea front good assortment of fresh fish and sea food. well served, delicious meals great service, owner is always there making sure all guests are satisfied restaurant is divided in 3 areas: inside, outside covered and outside open You will not find better quality in terms of food and location in Esmoriz and Cortegaca. Prices are not inflated considering: location, food quality and service attention

Ate here with friends and local people, they decide to let us try vegetable soup, octopus with potatoes and an assortment of desserts. All was really good; too much oil for me but this is portuguese cuisine style: lot of seasoning. Try guys! If u seat outside you Won't disappointed.

We have dined at D'Auora for quite some years... and returned with a group of friends. You can not go wrong at this restaurant. Incredibly fresh fish and seafood cooked to perfection. We love the Açorda... which is a very traditional Portuguese dish to use up stale bread... (don't be put off by the sound of that... its wonderful). Seafood rice is amazing. The meat dishes are also fantastic. D'Aurora enables you to push the boat out with Lobster... Crab... and Percebes... known to us English as goose head barnacles. in the UK they cost a fortune... and if you saw how they are picked... you will know why. they are a fraction of the cost in Portugal, so if your adventurous.. this is the place to try them. Hold the base with one hand, twist and pull off the barnacle head with the other and slide off the flesh between your teeth... delicious salty fresh taste of the sea. wash them down with a glass of Vino Verde. Also recommended... grilled Lulas, octopus starter the huge green lipped mussels Lastly a quick word about your host...Amadeu is a wonderfully warm and funny guy. Loves his restaurant, loves his customers... loves his job. D'Aurora is highly recommended... also visit the bar next door!
