Tropical Heat Ottawa

The handmade roti at this restaurant is absolutely delicious. As a Montreal resident, I am glad to have discovered this place for our date night. A bonus is that Mike, the owner, is friendly, approachable, and fun to talk to. This was only our second visit, but he remembered our names and orders. They also offer a complimentary side dish with every meal. I highly recommend this hidden gem off the beaten path.

I had lunch with my family today and the food was absolutely delicious, especially the goat dish and the homemade hot sauce. The restaurant is run by a man with 30 years of experience who informed us that he was the first Caribbean restaurant in Ottawa.

I tried this place for the first time and the roti was absolutely amazing! We also tried the chicken and beef curry, and highly recommend them. It's difficult to find places that make them well in Ottawa, so it's great to know where we can go now. Next on the menu for our next visit is the jerk chicken!

I was in this restaurant several times and am always satisfied with my meal. he has a great choice and is always ready to accommodate. the buffet is quite amusing as they can taste a little bit of everything. I actually have the birthday of my daughter here. they always get a smile from the personal.

The best Roti EVER! I bought the curry beef roti today for lunch. I called ahead and it was ready when I got there 10 mins later. Then I called again, 3 hours later to order a curry chicken one for my son for his dinner I was still stuffed from my lunch one . Again, Mike didn’t disappoint. I wish Mike could have seen my son’s eyes as he ate it was love at first bite. Will be there very often as I work only 10 mins away. I will try all on the menu, it was that delicious Thank you very much Mike for your pleasant demeaner, your fast service and terrific food, plus you remembered me, even over the phone WOW
