The Bacon Factory - Ottawa

The scones are absolutely fantastic! They have sweet ones, and savory ones, as well as sconewitches and breakfast options. The coffee was delicious, and the staff are so friendly! I wish I could steal this place and bring it back home. Definitely coming back the next time we are in Ottawa. We highly recommend the vanilla-cream scone, and the cream cheese sconewitch.

The scones at this restaurant are excellent, with a variety of flavors to choose from. The staff is friendly and welcoming. As someone who is from Montreal, I always make sure to stop by and get scones whenever I am in Ottawa.

Average food, the scones are delicious and freshly baked. The goat cheese and tomato sandwich was small for the price. The vanila latte tasted good, however there was no lactose free milk option instead they offered oat milk. Their cups smelled both the one with latte and the water cups on the table. I tried a few cups and they all had the same smell, like the smell of fish. Overall very pleasant atmosphere and friendly staff.

The scones are a five, but the salmon sconewitch needed a drizzle of something to enhance the over all flavor. Just a swipe of maybe a lemon mayo. Maybe? Simple place, friendly service. I would go again, but stick with a scone only.

Scone was flaky and I appreciated the choices of savoury and sweet. Side salad wasn’t tossed. Nice easy lunch choice. I would go back and try other scones and filling combos.
