Wonderful Flavours. Owner/Chef very personable and makes great recommendations. Coconut Rice rice was very aromatic, creamy and moist! Portion sizes are a bit smaller than I would expect given the price. View all feedback.
What Danny T doesn't like about Thai Flame Restaurant:
I decided to try out this restaurant tonight as I was craving Pad Thai. We had 3 dishes. We ordered the Fresh chicken spring rolls; Fresh green mango salad and chicken pad Thai. The star dish was the green mango salad...each bite delivered fresh fruit and vegetable flavors. The spring rolls were good and the peanut sauce for the rolls was crazy good. The pad Thai was average. I would definitely return to this restaur... View all feedback.

I travelled to Ottawa for business meetings and needed a really good restaurant that was relaxing and priced right. The Lao style sticky rice is absolutely scrumptious. The Lao style Chicken Lap sometimes called Yum Neau Yang is mouth drooling delicious. The Thai style spring rolls are the best I have had anywhere and I travel all over the United States, United Kingdom, Republic of Ireland and Canada. The papaya salad is light, fresh, and flavourful. The Pad Thai is the perfect texture and taste. The bathrooms are very clean and there is plenty of parking. The exterior of the restaurant is deceiving being in a smaller plaza but the inside is warm and inviting. The owners are generous and giving. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a unique and authentic Lao or Thai meal.
I've been to the Thai Flame many times for dinner. It has the best Thai food in Ottawa and surrounding area. They have a good size menu with several choices, the food is always fresh and cooked to perfection. It is tastefully decorated and a good location in the west end. There is bus service in Bells Corners as well.
I've eaten lunch here a few times with work colleagues. The food is excellent and good value for the price. Service was sufficiently attentive, friendly, and competent, but not really notable in any way. I will continue to return.
I have eaten here many times over the past 5 years and have never been disappointed. Best Thai restaurant to introduce newbies to Thai food as well. The owner and his staff are always gracious and friendly and ready to make a recommendation; the dishes are authentic and perfectly prepared. Make sure you try the mango sticky rice for dessert when in season. It's perfection!
