Romeo's Donair & Pizza - Ottawa

I've been coming here for years and the donairs are the best. I love the sweet and also the hot sauce.

We have going to Romeo's for many years -- almost exclusively for take out or delivery pizza. Pizza is always excellent and their 2-pizza specials are competitively priced. The only place around that we know where you can get shrimp on pizza. The style of pizza may not suit everyone but we like a thin crust, reasonable layers of sauce and toppings and nicely toasted cheese on top. Take-out or home delivery is efficient. Have not had other menu items in a long time.

My wife is addicted to this place. We always get donairs with sweet and sour sauce. Best in the city for sure! The decor could use a update but don't judge a book by its cover because the food makes up for it. Very clean in the kitchen

Best combo plates around with a very filling donair. Best sweetest donairs in town. Very close to a Halifax donar. Great fix if your craving the taste of an east coast donair.

I have been going to this restaurant for almost 30 years. It was widely known as one of the best places to get a donair in the world. My friends and I always tried to get the owner to tell us where he sourced his meat from, but it was kept a secret. To this day, I have yet to taste donair meat that is as delicious as theirs. I appreciate that it doesn't leave a bad aftertaste when I burp. The portion sizes seem to have decreased over the years, but you can always request extra meat if you want to beef it up. I usually find myself craving a second donair after finishing the first one.
