Contribute FeedbackMexicali Rosa's offers a great patio with river views, but high prices. Service can be speedy but with mistakes. Some guests found the drinks and food underwhelming. While others enjoyed nachos, burritos, and tacos. Although pricey, the food was tasty and filling with fast service. Some reviewers found the margaritas and food good, but the service lacking. While others enjoyed a cozy atmosphere and delicious food. Overall, the return of Mexicali Rosa's was met with positive feedback for their lunch options and unique deep-fried ice cream, but dinner prices might deter future visits.
I'm so happy its back! My husband and I went for some lunch fajitas and were pleasantly surprised. I found the meat, veggies and sauces they provided actually better than my beloved lone star. The wraps weren't quite up to par, but who can beat lone star on that. For dessert we had deep fried ice cream and my husband hasn't stopped talking about it since. He's angry at me for having show it to him because he's now thinking about it too often. They deep fry their ice cream in cinnamon coded crispies. It's something truly unique and spectacular. We had the caramel ice cream. <br/ <br/ My only issue is the dinner pricing. We went for lunch which was reasonable but dinner prices are pretty high. I don't think I would go for dinner.
The service on the patio was excellent. Our server, Peter, was prompt and courteous, and special requests were handled correctly.
The experience was fantastic. The food was delicious and the dessert was outstanding. It was convenient to have parking available.
I used to enjoy this restaurant, but was disappointed when I returned after some time. The food was only average.
Pretty mediocre. Nothing special except for a nice view if dining out on the patio.
