It doesn't look like much from the street, and my... read more We were planning to go somewhere else, but they had over an hour-long waitlist! Then I remembered this place. It doesn't look like much from the street, and my fiance didn't even know it was there, although we walk by it quite often. There was no wait, we got served quickly, the waiter was very attentive and helpful. My fiance could not decide between BLT and banana bread French toast, so he ordered both . I was torn between eggs Benedict and huevos rancheros, chose the latter, but then saw how amazing eggs Benedict looked at the table next to us... Oh well. What I got was very tasty too. I guess I'll have to return for those eggs...

We had to wait a few minutes for our table but one of the staff invited us to sit at the bar for a drink. The two staff were wonderful to chat to and we sampled several of their local beers. My husband had State of mind beer and said it was very good. For appetizers, we tried the crab cakes and the beet salad and they were delicious. For dinner we had the Naan pizza, lamb curry wrap, braised short ribs and the chick pea hamburger. Everything was delicious and beautifully prepared. Also you have to try the French fries. So great service and great food in ottawa at the Manx pub. I will go again.
