The food is made from scratch- nothing refregerated so it takes time to get the food.So if you would like to have any authentic exotic food such as hoppers or string hoppers let them know in advance so they can take their time and prepare it for you.The hoppers and the koththu roti is a must try for anyone new to Sri Lankan food.If you prefe... I was very disappointed at the cost of our lunch. The food was good but did not meet expectations from other reviewers and was oily. 2 curries, 2 samosas and 2 naans cost more than $50. I will not be back. View all feedback.
The food at this restaurant was exceptional. We tried vegetable samosas, crab curry, chicken #65, eggplant curry, parotta, and steamed rice. The samosas had a spicy kick and the crust was crispy and chewy. The crab curry was full of flavor and perfectly seasoned. The eggplant curry is a must-try dish! The parotta was delicious and the rice was perfectly fluffy. Everything was served hot and fresh. The owner and his daughters were friendly and helpful, giving the place a true family-owned atmosphere. It's a hidden gem that deserves more recognition. We will definitely be returning!
The food at this restaurant is incredibly tasty and made with fresh ingredients. We enjoyed our meal on the outdoor patio and started with Ulundhu Vadai appetizers, lentil dough deep fried and served with a delicious coriander chutney. For the main course, we had the fresh Deviled Chicken and Eggplant Curry with steamed rice. We ended our meal with a masala tea. I highly recommend this restaurant for a delicious dining experience.
The food is excellent! The shop is adorable, and the staff is friendly. Even though it may not have many customers, it is definitely worth a visit.
We had some take away and it did not let us down.Friendly folks, nice and inviting, and the food was fresh and scrumptious ...did not taste dried out and old like a certain other Ceylon food spot on Somerset..the string hoppers were excellent ,and the Chicken 65 lived up to it's legendary status...and whooo...spicy.but in a great way. Please stop in and check this place out...you will love it.
Super friendly fairly priced mom and pop (and daughter place. lots of veg/an options similar menu to other Sri Lankan places but different flavours and a couple surprises (cashew curry!
