This place brings disgrace to Indian food. 1) We were told Byward Market has best restaurant This place need to go from this location as this is spoiling the reputation of byward market as it stands. 2) We got stale food, cold rice, cold...chicken tikka. 3) We didn't even eat and just left, I felt terrible for wasting food since I have seen poverty in India however there was no way we could eat stale cold food. Walked by this place a number of times in the market and finally decided to grab a quick lunchI ordered the butter chicken with a side of naan bread.
This is an OK Indian restaurant, especially given the price and the fact that it's in an unbelievably toursity area, which normally makes it harder to find
Order took over 70mins to arrive even after the man on the phone confirmed that it would be here in 45mins.
The best Indian food I've eaten since leaving the UK!! So lucky to have found it!! Delicious food and great service.
Great food and the people are amazingly nice. Their naan is so fresh and so good, and the saag paneer is delicious. Same for the veggies and the chana masala. In fact everything we ever had from there is excellent. We've been customers for years and years and hope they'll be in business forever. Thank you, India cafe!
