The Happy Goat in Sandy Hill is super chill and laid back compared to the others. I think it's mostly university students who frequent here. In any case, the ice latte with oat milk was very good. Think they used something very similar to Oatly. View all feedback.
What Theo Ioannidis doesn't like about Happy Goat Coffee Co. (sandy Hill):
Went in and out after the talk about what is espresso with extra shot. Drinking it since decades I don’t have to get it explained by a fancy, comical girl. And then come more. After asking about vegetarian sandwiches she really told me to take the one with bacon, egg, cheese and then take the bacon out!!!A pity because really prefer small coffee places than the dull and ubiquitous chains you find everywhere.Vegetarian... Me and my friend went here for a morning coffee. We ordered a Caramel Latte and a regular Cappuccino. Both the coffees were good I would prefer Caramel Latte over the other.Coming to the atmosphere, it is silent with soothing music to help you work efficiently if doing remote work. They also have a book stand where you can leave one book you bring and take another. Finally, Coming to service, Sugar wasn't mixed properly in the Cappuccino and it settled at the bottom give it a taste on blander side.Overall a good, first time experience and i would love it visit this place more frequently.Hope it helps.
I used to love this location. But lately both quality of drink food customer service has tanked. Coffee is decent but if u get it sweetened they put sugar in there but do not stir it and didn’t let me know so my first mouthful was me chewing on sugar. Got a cookie which is a disaster. Couldn’t get the taste of baking power out of my mouth.Really hoping ur team gets things back to normal ?P.s I will be happy to update this review if this review is answered and addressed :
Happy Goat has recently removed their self serve cream, milk, sugar and cinnamon. Staff will now ask you what you would like in your coffee and add it for you. Because of this, I no longer enjoy going to the Happy Goat and find it frustrating having to ask to add a little more of this or that, and sometimes too much cream is added to my coffee and it is never how I want it. I asked a staff member why customers are no longer allowed to add cream to their own coffee and he told me it was for sanitation reasons. Could someone please explain to me how adding cream to your own coffee is unsanitary? Also, he said that people were having a hard time distinguishing between the clean and dirty spoons. If that's the case provide stir sticks. The staff member didn't mention covid, however, I have observed that it is being used as an excuse for many things. I would now rather go to Bridgehead and don't anticipate I will find myself at the Happy Goat moving forward.
Lovely café. Wish there were more pastry options. Ordered iced matcha lavender latte, iced maple latte, and chocolate banana brownie.
Coming here more often! Great (coffee) beans, only stopped in for an Americano to go, but wanted to stay with how friendly, relaxed and inviting the atmosphere staff was. Great music, too. Do yourself a favour and skip the Bucks, go here instead.
