We just had a very tirin day down town and we decided to grab a bite close to the hotel. We really enjoyed our dinner. We ended up ordering too much food. The golden India played would have aesily served the three of us. We could take the rest of the food with us, tomorrow we will enjoy another indian meal. View all feedback.
What Dolly Lesch doesn't like about Golden India:

A diamant in rough basic place on a slightly expired road in vanier, but not judge a book through its cover. the eating here is quite different from the typical Indian' (read: punjabi/ north Indian cuisine) served in most Indian restaurants. the lunch buffet is a good opportunity to taste a series of products at a very affordable price. the owners are bengalis and their kitchen reflects a mix of bengali and north indian styles. while the obligatory tandoori and butter chickens make their appearance on the buffet table (can not avoid this, I suppose), it is the sweet curries and appetizers where their traditions shine. the chicken and bark cures are not too rich, but offer a deep of seasoned and aromen, which recall home cooked Bengali dishes. end them with sweetness (heim-cooked and medium quality imo) or soothe their palate with ice from the freezer close (included in the buffet price).< br/> the owners and his wife are friendly and happy, suggestions for the un initiated. in no case a fantasy or a Posh egg. only a decent place for some homemade spicy food. enjoys!
This is our favorite place to order Indian food in ottawa! if you prefer sweet dishes, I recommend the chana masala or the bengul bhaji. if they like spicy dishes, then the chana bhoona is a certain recommended. the naan is always hot and fresh and the times we have ordered from here, they can say that it came directly from the tandoor. Other favourite dishes are the saag aloo, onion bhaji and vegetable curry. large vegetarian selection.
If I could review this with a zero, I wouldWe ordered from their website online and the food arrived 2 hours lateTWO HOURS.
Lunch buffet. Good selection. Meat dishes rich but very sweet. Good quality meat (not too bony or fatty). Brand new place, worth a try.
Just ordered for the first time tonight, thought we could find a food Indian option in the neighbourhood. Specified on the phone that I have a severe but allergy and food was arrived covered in nuts. We called back and the lady apologized and sent us another order. The delivery person asked for first order back upon arrival. Food was blend, sag paneer was very dry and too salty. Butter chicken was disappointing as was the rest of our food. Do not waste your money. We will keep looking for another option because we are certainly not going back.
