Family of 6 decided to order something new! The "meal for 6" was very reasonably priced and included two full chickens and sides. The bbq chicken was GREAT and not too spicy for our children. I also ordered the goat and it was very tasty! Only issue was that one of the items ordered was "sold out" but they notified us quickly and included a substitute. We would definitely order again. I drive by this place often when I am working so I decided to stop and give it a try. I had the quarter chicken special which includes one side and a beverage for $9.99 Flavor of the chicken and plantains were good, my only complaint is that the portion of chicken was very small. I wouldn't go back because of that, you don't have much for your money View all feedback.
Delicious BBQ chicken. The extra sauce on the side of the poutine is very spicy! Tried the BBQ chicken poutine and a half chicken combo. Also the gingembre has a great ginger flavour, very refreshing.
Delicious food, relaxed atmosphere.. I most definitely lucked out when I decided to quickly stop for a bite to eat at the Gladstone Golden Grill. <br/ <br/ I had the following combo: 1/4 chicken, attieke, and alloco. The chicken was delicious, which is good because it seems to be the staple dish for this restaurant. The attieke (couscous with a light salsa tasted nice and fresh, most definitely worth the three extra dollars. It was probably my favourite part of the meal. Then there were the alloco (plantains that were a bit heavier, which complimented the chicken and attieke well. All and all, this is a great place to grab a meal, especially after a long day.<br/ <br/ Food: 9/10<br/ Loner Rating: 7/10<br/ Atmosphere: 7/10 (There is a television, which doesn't bother me, but I thought I'd include that tidbit here. <br/ Location: 4/10 (There was nothing around and the street seemed a bit run down.
Food is delicious! Portions are huge! The staff are very friendly! I love this place!
[Halal restaurant] Hearty Healthy Food. It's a simple restaurant with good food. Home-cooked type stuff.<br/ We had bbq poutine, nothing special. The lamb and chicken and grilled veggies were good.<br/ The staff is fast and friendly.<br/ <br/ I would recommend this restaurant for some soul food.<br/ p.s. the food is halal, they claim.
Hidden Gem. The neighborhood is awful, but this place rocks. They make a mean bird.
