Don Cherry's - Ottawa

We went here because of the name.obviously Thought we might get to talk to Grapeshaha.

Best wings in town by far, around the same price as any other sports bar but the wings are huge with way more meat than other places.

Great visit for breakfast this morning! Their staff were friendly and they had several games on TV even with it being early in the morning.

The place wasn't busy at all. I went for the Tex mex burger. It was good but it took literally 30 mins before it was served. I complained about the wait time and they apologized. Suddenly, my server tells me "it's coming right now" but was another 10 mins after. When they handed my bill I told them I was reluctant to pay given the nature of the service. However, no charge for the meal. For that I give it a pass.

Hunt club location in Ottawa, On for lunch with 2 friends. I had the basic burger and my 2 friends shared a single fajitas. The burger was like rubber, dry, cold and tasteless. Even condiments couldn't save it! The side salad was good, thank goodness because the salad and a glass of water helped me swallow the burger! My friends shared the single fajitas which was a generous serving. But they were stunned at the small amount of condiments (maybe 1 tablespoon of salsa, sour cream and cheese) and 4 tortilla wraps. There were no free refills on condiments and the requested additional tortilla wraps were 25 cents each! Really? they charge for additional wraps? that was not indicated on the menu!. When asked the manager said that was their policy and if they had to provide extras for everyone it would be too expensive. The only way this restaurant could provide more condiments and wraps would be to decrease the size of the fajitas or charge more (single fajitas is already overpriced in my opinion at $24.95). Shockingly poor attitude. I will never go back there. My advice if you want a good burger go to Five Guys, the Works, Jack Astors or Vera's Burgers; for fajitas go to the Lone Star. Avoid Don Cherry's at all costs.
